No. It is a procurement estimate for RFQ preparation. Final quantities depend on drawings, stone grading, installation method, diaphragms, accessories, drainage and project requirements.

Can I use this calculator for both woven gabion baskets and welded gabion boxes?

Yes for early quantity estimation. Final woven or welded basket details, mesh opening, wire diameter, coating and accessories should be confirmed by drawing or order details.

What stone density should I use?

The default is 1.70 t/m³, with a common procurement estimate range of 1.50-1.80 t/m³. The actual bulk density depends on local stone type, grading, void ratio and moisture.

Does this replace engineering design?

No. The calculator is for procurement estimation only and does not replace engineering design, drainage design, slope stability review or local installation approval.
