Wire Mesh RFQ Checklist for Importers and Project Buyers

Wire Mesh RFQ Checklist for Importers and Project Buyers

Use this checklist before sending a wire mesh quotation request. It helps importers, distributors and project buyers collect product type, material, wire diameter, mesh opening, size, surface treatment, packing, quantity, destination and document details so suppliers can prepare a clearer quotation.

RFQ Checklist PDF

A lightweight worksheet for importers, distributors and project procurement teams to fill in product, specification, packing and destination details before quotation.

Factory, QC & Packing Reference Pack

Use this proof download for importer supplier review, distributor quality discussion, packing references and project procurement documentation support. It does not replace the RFQ checklist.

Quick answer: A quote-ready wire mesh RFQ should include product type, application, material, wire diameter or sheet thickness, mesh opening or hole pattern, roll size or panel size, surface treatment, quantity, packing method, destination port and any drawings, photos or documents that need to be checked. If some details are not confirmed yet, mark them as “to be confirmed” instead of leaving them out. This makes it easier for purchasing, engineering, warehouse, importer, distributor and supplier teams to compare quotation assumptions before price, packing or delivery discussions.

What this checklist adds before you send an inquiry

Many wire mesh supplier pages show product specifications, catalogs and quote buttons. This checklist is different: it is a short worksheet for preparing a clearer request before the buyer or procurement team opens the inquiry form, uploads drawings or compares quotations. Use it to separate the product specification, commercial scope, export packing requirement and proof documents that should be checked before price discussion.

Common reasons wire mesh RFQs get delayed

Missing detail Typical issue How to avoid it
Wire diameter, gauge or thickness The same mesh opening can have different weight, strength and cost. Send the diameter in mm, gauge, sheet thickness or strand thickness, and mark uncertain items as “to be confirmed.”
Mesh opening or hole pattern Square mesh, diamond mesh, hexagonal mesh, perforated holes and expanded metal patterns are quoted differently. Attach a drawing, photo or previous specification when the opening is hard to describe.
Packing and label requirements Export packing affects protection, loading, warehouse sorting and buyer complaints. State roll, bundle, pallet, carton, wooden case, shipping mark or private label needs before quotation.
Destination and documents Port, trade term and document needs can change quotation assumptions. Send destination country, port, preferred trade term and required documents early.

Wire Mesh RFQ Checklist

RFQ item What to send Why it matters
Product type Welded wire mesh, chain link fence, gabion mesh, perforated metal sheet, expanded metal mesh, galvanized wire or custom mesh. Different products use different materials, machines, packing methods and quotation logic.
Application Fencing, construction reinforcement, animal enclosure, retaining wall, screening, guard panel, partition or other use. Application helps the supplier understand strength, coating, opening size and packing needs.
Material Low carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel 304/316, aluminum, PVC coated wire, Galfan wire or other material. Material changes corrosion resistance, weight, availability and cost.
Wire diameter / gauge / thickness Wire diameter in mm, wire gauge, sheet thickness or strand thickness. This is one of the biggest drivers of product weight and price.
Mesh opening / hole pattern Square opening, rectangular opening, diamond mesh size, hexagonal opening, round hole, slotted hole or expanded metal pattern. Opening size affects strength, visibility, airflow, screening, security level and material weight.
Roll / panel / sheet size Roll width, roll length, panel height and width, sheet size or custom dimensions. Size affects production planning, packing volume, loading method and freight calculation.
Surface treatment Hot-dip galvanized, electro galvanized, PVC coated, powder coated, stainless finish, painted or untreated. Coating affects corrosion resistance, appearance and outdoor suitability.
Edge / selvage / frame Cut edge, knuckled edge, twisted edge, welded frame, bent edge or other finishing method. Edge details affect installation, safety, handling and packing.
Accessories Posts, clamps, bolts, gates, lacing wire, spirals, stiffeners, fasteners or no accessories. Some quotations include accessories and some do not. Clarify the scope before comparing prices.
Quantity Pieces, rolls, sheets, square meters, linear meters, tons or container plan. Quantity affects MOQ, unit price, production scheduling and export packing.
Packing Pallet, bundle, carton, waterproof paper, plastic film, wooden case, label, mixed container or private label packing. Packing affects surface protection, unloading, warehouse sorting and complaint risk.
Destination and trade term Destination country, port, delivery address if needed and preferred trade term. Destination helps estimate loading plan, documents and logistics scope.
Required documents Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, material document, test report or other documents when required. Document requirements should be confirmed early, especially for project or distributor orders.
Drawings / BOQ / photos Drawing, BOQ, reference photo, current sample photo or installation sketch. Visual references reduce misunderstanding, especially for custom products.

Product-specific RFQ notes

Welded Wire Mesh

Send wire diameter, mesh opening, roll or panel size, material, surface treatment, quantity, packing method and application.

Chain Link Fence

Send height, wire gauge or diameter, diamond mesh size, roll length, selvage type, coating, color and fittings if required.

Gabion Mesh

Send mesh opening, wire diameter, coating, roll or panel form, accessory requirement, project use and drawings if available.

Gabion Box

Send box size, diaphragm requirement, lacing wire or spiral requirement, coating, packing method and project location context.

Perforated Metal Sheet

Send material, sheet thickness, hole shape, hole diameter, pitch, sheet size, surface treatment and application.

Expanded Metal Mesh

Send material, strand width, strand thickness, SWD/LWD opening size, sheet size, surface treatment and application.

Quote-ready and proof-ready attachments

Attachment Best use Important note
Drawing, BOQ or sample photo Clarifies custom dimensions, hole pattern, edge treatment, frame, accessory scope and project assumptions. Use these as quotation references; final production details should be confirmed in the order documents.
Packing or label requirement Helps confirm pallet, bundle, roll, carton, wooden case, shipping mark and private label needs. Packing requirements should be confirmed before quotation because they affect protection and loading.
Factory, QC & Packing Reference Pack Supports supplier background review, factory discussion, QC photo expectations and packing reference. It is not a certificate promise and does not replace order-specific inspection or document confirmation.

FAQ

Can I request a quotation if I do not know every specification?

Yes. Send the details you know and mark uncertain items as “to be confirmed.” A supplier can often help identify missing specifications, but the final quotation should state the assumptions clearly.

Does this checklist replace project engineering review?

No. This checklist helps prepare supplier quotation information. Project specifications, engineering design, local installation requirements and regulatory compliance should be reviewed by the buyer, contractor or project engineer when required.

What is the difference between this page and the inquiry page?

This page helps buyers prepare complete RFQ information. The inquiry page is the place to submit the requirement to ANJIA.

What is the Factory, QC & Packing Reference Pack for?

It is a supplier review and proof document for factory, QC, packing and documentation discussion. It supports buyer trust, but it does not replace the order-specific RFQ checklist.

Send Your Wire Mesh RFQ

If you have a drawing, photo, product sample or BOQ, send it together with your destination port and expected quantity. ANJIA GROUP can help check whether the specification is complete before preparing a quotation.

Need coating values before sending the RFQ?Use the galvanized vs PVC coating guide and PDF reference pack to confirm zinc layer, PVC thickness, salt spray notes, exposure zone and project standard wording.
