Wire Mesh Container Loading Estimator

Estimate container quantity from a mixed cargo list, compare 20GP, 40GP and 40HQ, then send the loading basis with your RFQ.

Mixed container loading for wire mesh products
Use packing dimensions and gross weight to check whether volume, payload or package size is the limiting point.

Enter cargo list

Use one row per roll, bundle, pallet, carton or packed product type.

Shipment context

Container assumptions

Cargo lines

Mixed products are supported by default. Add each packing unit type as a separate line.

How it works

Separate packing CBM from loading planning volume

Declared packing CBM

Calculated from outside package dimensions. Use it for packing list discussion and freight quotation basis.

Loading planning volume

For cylindrical rolls, the estimator applies a factory-experience correction by roll diameter before comparing container capacity.

Payload and dimensions

Metal-heavy cargo uses a lower payload factor. Oversize packages still need supplier and freight-forwarder confirmation.

Formula Notes

Container comparison basis

Rectangular, pallet or bundle

Declared packing CBM = length x width x height x quantity

Cylindrical rolls

Loading planning volume = diameter x diameter x roll width x quantity / (1 - correction)

Container count

Estimated containers = max(volume count, weight count) across 20GP, 40GP and 40HQ.

FAQ

Container loading estimator questions

What information do I need for a container loading estimate?

You need outside package dimensions, quantity and gross weight for every roll, bundle, carton or pallet. Mixed products should be entered as separate cargo lines.

Is packing CBM the same as loading planning volume?

No. Packing CBM comes from the outside package dimensions. Loading planning volume adds an empirical correction for cylindrical rolls to estimate container quantity.

Why are cylindrical rolls adjusted by diameter?

Larger rolls often create more unusable space against container dimensions and loading patterns. The correction is a procurement estimate based on factory loading experience.

Does this tool calculate ocean freight?

No. It prepares container quantity, CBM and gross-weight information that a freight forwarder can use for a freight quotation.

Can I check a supplier loading plan?

Yes. Enter the proposed container types and quantities to compare aggregate volume and payload utilization. Final item allocation still requires the supplier loading plan.

Does a feasible volume result guarantee the cargo will fit?

No. Package dimensions, container door size, loading direction, pallets, securing and handling space can still affect the final result.
